These terms are the agreement between you and TattleTow. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
What the service does
TattleTow monitors the City of Milwaukee's public parking complaint records and sends you an SMS and/or email when a complaint is filed near a street address you have registered. That is the whole of what we promise to do.
What the service does not do
- We do not prevent tickets, tows, boots or any other enforcement action.
- We do not guarantee that an alert will arrive, arrive on time, or arrive at all — delivery depends on the city's records, our scan timing, and your mobile carrier.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the city's complaint data.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the City of Milwaukee, its Department of Public Works, or any law enforcement agency.
Treat TattleTow as an early warning, not a guarantee. You remain responsible for parking legally.
Your account
You need an accurate email address, and a phone number if you want SMS. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for activity under your account. Give us real addresses you actually park at; don't use the service to monitor addresses in order to harass or surveil anyone.
Text message (SMS) alerts
Text alerts are optional and require your express consent at signup — you can subscribe to TattleTow without them.
- Message frequency varies based on parking-complaint activity near your saved watch zones — typically 0–5 messages per week.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@tattletow.com.
- We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties for marketing purposes. Numbers go only to Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, to deliver the alerts you asked for — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Subscription and billing
- TattleTow costs $3.99 per month. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial; when it ends, the monthly charge begins unless you have cancelled.
- You subscribe in the TattleTow app. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account, and your subscription renews automatically through that account each month until you cancel.
- Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. If you cancel before the free trial ends, you will not be charged (on the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends).
- Cancelling stops future charges. Your alerts continue until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their policies. If the service failed you, write to support@tattletow.com and we will look at it.
- If you subscribed on our website before in-app subscriptions launched, that subscription is billed by Stripe until it ends.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape, resell or redistribute our alerts; don't try to break into the service or other people's accounts; don't use TattleTow to track a person's whereabouts. We can suspend an account that does any of these.
Limitation of liability
TattleTow is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for parking tickets, fines, towing or impound charges, vehicle damage, missed alerts, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may change the service or these terms. If a change materially reduces what you get, we will email you first. Continuing to use TattleTow after a change means you accept it.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using TattleTow and close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will refund any unused prepaid period if we do so for a reason other than misuse.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, and disputes belong to the courts of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
